Methods of snowmelt calculation in the Antarctic oasis Larsemann Hills

The paper studies the validity of snowmelt calculation methods, which are mostly used in hydrology, for Larsemann Hills oasis (East Antarctica). study bases on snow surveys data obtained catchments Low Lake, Reid Lake and Stepped during 65th season Russian Antarctic Expedition (RAE) 2019-2020. Materials fond Arctic Research Institute (AARI) also used: collected catchment 57th RAE 2012 Scandrett 62th 2017. Considered three methods were derived by Kuz'min P.P., Popov E.G., Vinogradov Yu.B. Results compared with value according to surveys. shows two variants calculations: first albedo is determined from function age as different values each day, second remote sensing average all period. depend method sets albedo: relative inaccuracies results discussed smaller when value. equation P.P. gives smallest real estimated survey data.
